Its a good barebones kit. I bought 2 and gave one to a family member. paired with tactile Gamma Kay switches on one and Linear's on another.
waiting on the carbon fiber decretive case.
Although this board may not be the most premium thing out there it's definitely innovative and brings something new to the table of keyboard enthusiast with the hot swap shells. Now that being said it would definitely be nicer if these were made at a way more affordable price point to help people get into keyboards. Come on logitech I know you can do it. MAKE DROP MASS AGAIN.
I like that it's a barebones keyboard I could customize from the start, but after crunching the numbers I would have saved money buying a complete one and customizing that. If you have the extra components to to complete yours, sure. I did not. Don't forget you'll essentially need to buy a top case too. Product is fine, just plan better than I did.
Upon unboxing I immediately took notice of the weight of the keyboard. It felt hefty and sturdy, which, to me, are good qualities. After adding the base weight and decorative top cover, it made it feel even more solid.
The ease of disassembly to install the base weight was appreciated. I can't wait to get the switches and keycaps to finish the build.
Great little barebones kit with a nice amount of customization options. I kitted mine out with the FR4 plate, some Durock stabilizers, white top case, brass weight, Wuque Morandi switches, and Drop DSA Astrolo keycaps and it's a very nice build. The build itself was easy and the included creature comforts like foams and silicone dampener are welcome additions. I will say it would be nice to see at least an aluminum bottom case, but I understand that can be hard at this price point. One more gripe is that the gaskets do basically nothing. I'm a little exhausted with so many "gasket mount" boards that are so clamped down that the gaskets can't even move, but it is what it is. Still a nice keyboard, just could be improved in some aspects. V2 on the horizon maybe?
Pretty solid choice when starting into your misadventure into the void that is mech keys. I wish I could have started with this piece so I would have spare frames to switch between stored and hanging on my wall than more keyboards I would ever use. Overall enjoyable to type on and I still keep getting wins in Fornite so that's a plus if you are worried about effecting gaming skills.
