I got the 65% version. It looks nice and lines up perfectly with my Keychron Q65; of course the Q65 being a quirky board, the left side macro buttons don't get covered but they're close enough.
I have two suggestions for improvement:
Position the rubber pads closer to the edge and corners so it's not so easy to tilt the board when pushing closer to the edges.
Provide an adhesive rubber strip, perhaps 1/8" thick, which the user may put on the surface that comes in contact with the keyboard, so that there's no clattering when then board moves a little, which happens when you put it on a desk mat like I do. A lot of people use desk mats.
Also not sure why my board came unbranded, but I have CS looking into it.
Update and rating change: DROP is great, and so is Orcas: My board game without the fancy logo. I wasn't going to send it back, but I was wondering if something went sideways with my order and I got a different product. Well something did go sideways on Orcas end, but they are shipping a brand new item to me as a replacement. Kudos to both Drop and Orcas, that's some quality customer service.
FINAL EDIT: I did receive a branded Orcas board in the mail, WITH A HANDWRITTEN note to apologize for the non-branded wrist rest. So I'm now buying everything they make. I mean seriously, that just doesn't happen anymore. Love you Orcas :)
Aside from the logo being more prominent than I’d like, it’s as perfect as you could hope. The quality is excellent. The finish perfectly matches the product images. The wrist angle is as comfortable as I could hope. There are 2 wire paths running front to back on the bottom. They are not massive, but large enough for most skinny cables, such as Apple-made braided lightning cables.
If anyone’s curious, it’s a cheap, large charging desk mat from Amazon, a custom dark blue keyboard cable from MechCables.com, an Akko MOD007v2 keyboard in blue, and Osume Dalgona keycaps. The color difference between the tan keycaps and tan stripes in the wrist rest is less jarring in person. I used silent Alpaca v2 linear switches (individually lubed and filmed), and gosh darn is it awesome to type on! The wrist rest ties it all together and looks incredible in person, but even in photos it looks amazing!
Turns out a simple wrist rest is my favorite purchase from Drop
It looks great, just as pictured. It feels great. The angle is perfect. The size is as expected. It's something so very simple and completely well made. I love it.
I wasn't expecting for hard wood to work this well
I was surprised, who knew wood would work as a good material choice for a wrist rest? My only gripe is this could've been a little more affordable, but all in all, the look and the feel work well for me.
